After 13 years of clinical practice as a Chiropractor, I was unable to continue working in a hands-on capacity due to a chronic repetitive strain injury that affected the function of both of my hands. The upside of this challenge has been my journey towards certification as a Health and Wellness Coach via further study and credentialing in areas of both Functional and Lifestyle Medicine. I am currently working within an exercise physiology setting, facilitating people in co-designing their health goals in conjunction with prescriptions provided by exercise physiologists and other health professionals within the interdisciplinary team.
