I became a health coach after 30 years of being an award-winning health journalist. After the media landscape changed, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my career helping others to live well and take charge of managing their health. I have lived experience of depression, anxiety, addiction and ADHD. I got sober from alcohol 9 years ago and now live a full, rich and meaningful life, despite my now very well managed health conditions. Another challenge was my weight: I’m recovered yo-yo dieter and I am finally at peace with living healthily in a mid-sized body. I also managed to turn around a pre-diabetes diagnosis and high cholesterol with healthy lifestyle tools. I want to share my experience with others who may be struggling with any of these conditions, and many more.
