Associate Membership - NZ Primary Care Health Coach Application Process

Your Commitment

By joining HCANZA as a New Zealand Primary Care practitioner, you are required to make a commitment to the HCANZA Code of Conduct and the HCANZA Scope of Practice.  You are also required to commit to the attainment of 10 units of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) within 12 month, by attending HCANZA-approved CPD  programs, affiliate programs, or other reputable training programs (webinars, short courses, conferences, seminars) in any of the following four areas.  Health coaching skills, nutritional or healthy lifestyle content, business development and marketing, or governance and ethical training.

Three tips for a smooth and successful application process:

  1. Read the Terms and Conditions that apply to your application before proceeding.
  2. Ensure you have all the required signed documents on hand that are required in Step 3.
  3. Give yourself time to complete all of the steps in one sitting to avoid delays in the processing of your application.



Before filling out this registration form, please ensure this is the correct membership level that corresponds with the Health Coach training program you graduated from. In this way you will avoid your application being rejected. 

All of these steps are automated once you submit your payment and our easy to use online system will take you through the process while providing you with the documents and instructions as you go through each step.

Signatures on forms provided throughout the registration process must be in one of two formats: e-signature or hand written. We will not accept a typed name.

Note:  This Associate Membership is created specifically for Health Coaches who have been trained by, and are employed within the New Zealand Primary Care health system.
